Repair & CLA for Your Lenses
I offer professional servicing of vintage lenses here in Tbilisi, Georgia.
The average cost per lens is around $100, depending on the complexity.
📌 Example pricing:
•Helios 44-2 (standard lens without dents or cracked glass):
Full CLA (complete disassembly, removal of glass elements and aperture blades, disassembly of focus helicoid, manual cleaning with various solvents, reassembly, lubrication, and adjustment): from $70.
•Larger lenses (e.g., Helios-40, Sonnar 180mm): from $150.
•Zoom lenses typically cost more to service.
Final pricing must always be confirmed with me in any way convenient for you:
⚠️ Important Note:
I do not work in a sterile, dust-free environment, so even with maximum care, microscopic dust particles may remain on inner lens elements — visible only under magnification.
🌍 Shipping from Abroad:
If you are located in:
•the USA,
•Germany, UK, Greece, China, or Turkey —
you can send your package to my local address in your country, and it will be forwarded to me in Georgia via a trusted local forwarding service.
This is much cheaper than shipping directly to Georgia.
📦 If you’re in any other country, please send the lens directly to Georgia,
but only after confirming with me first — even if you already have my Georgian address.
🚚 Shipping Conditions:
•All shipping costs and any customs fees (if unavoidable) are your responsibility.
•I will always guide you on how to reduce the chances of customs fees, and how to package your lens properly to reduce shipping costs and avoid damage.
🎥 Optional Video Recording:
You can request a full video of your lens being serviced for $50 per lens.
You will receive a private YouTube link to watch the video.
I reserve the right to use the video or parts of it for commercial purposes (e.g., in my posts or promotions).
