Greetings,
My name is Alex, and I live in Georgia. For the past ten years, I’ve been searching for and restoring cameras and lenses — and then offering them to people for whom photography and video are not only about memories, but also creativity, art, and work.
Over these years, I’ve made many friends, and I truly value their friendship.
Until 2022, I sold my products on eBay, and I’ve also had an Instagram account for several years. Now, I have my own website — created with the great help of my wife, Tatyana, for which I’m deeply grateful.
With years of experience behind me, I’ve learned how to choose cameras and lenses that are in excellent condition.
But buying a vintage lens is almost always a lottery.
Lenses that are decades old inevitably show the marks of time. Even if a lens has sat unused for years, the internal grease may have deteriorated, its vapors settling on inner glass elements and aperture blades. And if it was stored in humid or sunlit conditions, its performance could have been seriously affected.
In my restorations, I use high-quality, professional tools, materials, and lubricants — so that an object that has traveled through time can continue to bring joy to new people.
By using things made many years ago, we not only save nature, but also preserve craftsmanship. These objects retain their full functionality while giving us a special sense of vintage charm and warmth.
There is still no universal or transparent system for evaluating the condition of vintage optics online. That’s why misunderstandings between sellers and buyers are so common.
I want to change that.
I now record most of my restorations on video — in detail, step by step, with nothing hidden.
Buyers receive access to the video and can see exactly what condition the lens was in before restoration and what was done to bring it back to life.
This is more than just a sale — it’s a transparent, honest process. You’re not buying a “pig in a poke,” but a lens that brings true satisfaction — both from its performance and from the story of its return to life.
If you like my work, you can sign up for a paid monthly subscription to my Patreon, where I post videos with detailed descriptions of lens repair and restoration.
Sincerely,
Alex
