The lens has been fully restored. The glass elements have been cleaned inside and out using Zeiss cleaning agents. The old grease has been removed from the focusing mechanism, and a new modern lubricant has been applied to ensure smooth helicoid movement. Each diaphragm blade has been individually cleaned of oil. Sample shots were taken with this lens on a full-frame camera and are presented here without any editing.

The original two-ring preset aperture system has been converted to a simple single-ring control. The separate aperture limiter has been removed, so the lens now operates like a conventional manual lens: simply turn the aperture ring to the desired f-stop. The number indicated on the ring always corresponds to the actual aperture setting
