This lens is made for medium format macro shots on a crop camera or a full frame camera.
Around the front glass there is a flange for mounting on a tripod. Behind is the M42 mount, which is offset from the center of the optical axis. The rear part rotates with the installed camera. Thus, you can take 6 frames and then combine them on the computer into a single picture.
